Big Buddies (for children 6-12 during school holidays)

Do you have school-aged (6–12 yrs) children who will need activities to keep them occupied this summer? Now you can bring them to Richmond Family Place drop-in programs with their younger siblings!

What is BIG Buddies? BIG Buddies will promote leadership development for school-aged children through:

• Activities that encourage the development of self-management and self-esteem
• One-to-one mentorship with a school-aged child and young child
• Daily tasks that school-aged children can help complete (i.e. filling the water table or sweeping the floor)

Who is BIG Buddies for? This program is for older siblings of children 0-5 yrs who attend our programs. BIG Buddies must be accompanied by an adult. BIG Buddies will be an ongoing program through the months of July and August. Every participant will receive a certificate of completion. Please speak to a Family Support Worker for more information.
