Maria Robinson – Chair

Maria will be going into her 5th year as a board member and is the Vice Chair this year.  She has been on various committees and will continue on the Executive and Golf Committees.  Maria believes in Family Place's mandate to ensure every child in Richmond reaches their full potential.  Maria's background consists of over 15 years experience in the Administrative field, specializing in special events and client relations. Maria lives in East Richmond with her young children and is also actively involved in their school Parent Advisory Council.  During her spare time when she is not busy juggling with her children's day to day activities, she enjoys cooking, reading and the outdoors with her family.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Joy Tcheng - Treasurer

 

Joy is a committed public servant and has held several positions within the Ministry of Finance.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma in Accounting from University of British Columbia and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.  Joy is mother of one very energetic and talkative boy and is a long time resident of Richmond. She joined the board because of her personal experiences with the various programs offered by Richmond Family Place and she is eager to work with this progressive organization to ensure that every child in Richmond reaches their full potential.  New to the board, Joy will also sit on the Finance and Board Development Committee.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Victoria Chan - Treasurer

 

Victoria has been a Richmond resident for over 20 years.  She is a CFA charter holder and is an Equity Research Associate at PI Financial Corp. Victoria has a strong passion to work with children and young families and enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Melody Zhang

 

Melody Zhang has been a board member for one year.  She joined the board through the Richmond Youth Now Leadership Program. Melody holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Economics, and a Certificate in Liberal Arts.  Professionally, Melody is a Consultant at Accenture, but on her days off, she dedicates her time to blogging, social media, corporate social responsibility, volunteerism, and travel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Louise Yeoh

 

Louise has been a Richmond resident since 1974.  She has a Commerce degree from UBC and has been in the banking industry for the past 33 years.  Louise has been on the Board for the past four years. She believes in making sure every child has the opportunity to live life to the fullest and realizing their dreams and aspirations.  Not only has she volunteered on the Board of Richmond Family Place, but has volunteered at the BC Karate Annual Tournament; Steveston Karate Club; Steveston/London PACs; RDPA; Richmond Mental Health; Addiction Family Advisory Committee; and, the BC Children’s Hospital Annual Telethon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Szascha Lim

 

Szascha has a passion to establish fundraisers and community youth activities. She has created fundraisers for orphanage visits, feeding programs and educational programs for kids. In her birthplace, Manila, she spearheaded a charity concert that raised over $50,000 of high school scholarships for teens in-need. Currently, Szascha is a fourth-year Accounting undergrad in Sauder School of Business and is completing her 8-month Co-op work term with Vancouver Prostate Centre’s accounting department. On her free time, she enjoys hiking to lakes around B.C., learning about social enterprise, and discovering beautiful restaurants to go with friends and family. Joining the Richmond Family Place team, Szascha plans to apply her experience and educational background in helping build a healthy environment for future generations to come. 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Neill McCallum

 

Neill is a proud father that attends Richmond Family Place with his daughter and wife. He holds a BSc in Biology, BEd in Secondary Education and was a recipient of the Professional Development Award of Excellence from SFU.  Despite his science background, Neill also holds an ardent interest in the Arts and is well versed in Graphic Design and Information Technology.  He currently works for the School District of Richmond and believes strongly in giving back to the community.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Tienne Schaub

 

This will be Tienne’s first year on the Board of Richmond Family Place.  She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia as well as the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  Currently, Tienne is a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at Aritzia.  Tienne recently moved back to Vancouver with her husband after living abroad for seven years in New York and Hong Kong.  Through involvement on the Board, Tienne hopes to spread awareness about the wonderful programs offered by Richmond Family Place to help every child reach their full potential.  In her spare time, Tienne loves to travel, play volleyball, shop, try new restaurants, and spend time with her family.

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Andreas Schaub

 

This will be Andreas’ first year on the Board of Richmond Family Place. He grew up in Germany in a busy family of 4 kids. After spending 6 years working in Product Management for various watch companies in Hong Kong, Andreas moved to Vancouver in 2013 together with his wife Tienne. He holds a Media Engineering Degree from the University of Applied Sciences, Offenburg and recently started working for a Canadian Builders Hardware Company. Andreas is now looking to get involved in the community of Richmond and help promote the programs offered by Richmond Family Place.
