Play & Learn Drop In

Play & Learn drop-in programs provide a welcoming environment for ALL families with children birth to 6 years of age:

  • make new friends play in a rich learning environment
  • enjoy singing, music and stories
  • take part in outdoor activities at our main site
  • find out about community resources receive parenting support and information

Sing & Play Drop In

Enjoy making friends and learning songs and rhymes with your children 0-5 years old.  We will have one part of the session for learning new songs and rhymes, then an opportunity to chat about different topics.  

Gardening Fun for Families

Families will spend time gardening and recording memories in their own family's scrapbook.  All supplies provided by RFP.  Registration is required. 

Dad and Child Breakfast

A weekly breakfast program for dads/male caregivers and their children 0-6 years of age. A nutritious breakfast will be served followed by playtime.  

Family Fun Cafe

Families attending the food bank can enjoy an evening play and learn drop-in session with a light dinner.

Toddler Time (For Chinese Speaking Families)

The Toddler Time program is done in partnership with Touchstone Family Association, Richmond Family Place and Richmond Public Library. It is a free Play and Learn Drop-In program for Chinese speaking parents, caregivers and their children aged 10 months to two years of age with a focus on family resources in the Richmond Community. Please join us weekly for a time of stories, play and parent education.

 


 

StrongStart

The StrongStart centres are run by the School District and are free for parents and other care providers and their children under Kindergarten age to learn and play together. Richmond Family Place Family Support Workers attend the programs from time to time to provide family support. The locations and schedules are listed below.  Please note that these programs do not run during the school holidays.
